To my fellow North Berwick residents,

I’m Richard DeCato. I'm a father who knows the hopes as well as the worries that come with raising children in today’s world. I'm a coach who’s seen firsthand how discipline, teamwork, and high expectations build winners on and off the field.  I'm a lifelong Noble Knight committed to honor, integrity, and defending what matters most.

For too long, our children’s education has taken a backseat to politics, trends, and bureaucracy. As your school board member, I will fight to refocus our schools on what truly counts: 

- Back-to-basics academics that give every student the reading, math, science, and critical thinking skills they need to succeed. 

- Parental and student's rights

- A safe and supportive learning environment free from unnecessary distractions.

-Fiscal responsibility, leadership accountability, and full transparency for parents, students, and taxpayers.

Our district needs to rebuild a common-sense budget that puts students first, reins in inflated administrative raises, and ensures taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly. Strong leadership requires measurable performance, clear expectations, and accountability for results.

If elected, I will work to improve oversight, restore budget discipline, and ensure parents and the public have clear, honest information about how decisions are made.

I’m not a politician, I’m a father, a coach, and a man of principle who believes our kids deserve better. Let’s return education to its rightful place: first.
